Ocellated turkey

The ocellated turkey is a species of turkey found mainly on the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico and in parts of Belize and Guatemala. It is a relative of the North American wild turkey and was once placed in its own genus, Agriocharis, though the two are now considered too similar to keep separate. It is a fairly large bird, typically 70 to 122 centimeters long, with females averaging about 3 kilograms and males about 5 kilograms.
