Noble fir, Abies procera, is a conifer of the family Pinaceae native to the Cascade Range and Coast Ranges of the Pacific Northwest of the United States, where it grows into one of the largest of all true firs. Its stiff, upward-curving needles and sturdy branches, strong enough to hold heavy ornaments, along with its excellent needle retention, have made it a leading Christmas tree species and a favored source of greenery for wreaths and garlands.
