Desert

Named desert ecosystems: specific arid regions such as the Sahara, the Gobi and the Sonoran, each with its own species community and physical setting, rather than the general biome concept. The desert biome's own climate and vegetation profile lives on the biome entity of the same name; this group is the place, not the concept.
