Covers every genus-rank taxon entity in this atlas identified by its own sourced description as a fish genus under the standard ichthyological classification (Nelson's Fishes of the World, followed by ITIS, GBIF and the Catalogue of Life alike), among them the freshwater eels of Anguilla, the Pacific salmon of Oncorhynchus, the true trout of Salmo, the black basses of Micropterus, and the cichlids of Astronotus and Oreochromis. A member is placed here only where its own sourced description identifies it as a fish genus, never assumed from a name resembling another group's naming pattern.
