Anoplogaster cornuta, the common fangtooth, is a species of deep-sea fish found in temperate and tropical oceans worldwide, at depths from 2 to 5,000 metres, with adults usually found between 500 and 5,000 metres and juveniles usually near the surface. It grows to a total length of about 18 centimetres. It serves as a food source for pelagic carnivorous fish but holds no interest for human fisheries.
