Bryum Argenteum

Bryum argenteum is a species of moss in the family Bryaceae and one of the most widely recognized mosses in the world, especially common in urban environments. It can be identified without a microscope by its characteristic silvery-white sheen when dry, a trait reflected in its species name, from the Latin argenteum, meaning silver.
