Nepenthes spathulata is a tropical pitcher plant in the family Nepenthaceae, native to Java and Sumatra in Indonesia, growing at elevations between 1,100 and 2,900 meters. On Sumatra it has been recorded in the provinces of Jambi, South Sumatra, Bengkulu, and Lampung, ranging from Mount Tanggamus in the south to Lake Kerinci in the north. Its species name comes from the Latin spathulatus, meaning spatula-shaped, referring to its distinctive leaf form. It was formally described by B. H. Danser in 1935 and is assessed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
