Echinopsis oxygona

Echinopsis oxygona is a species of flowering plant in the cactus family Cactaceae, native to southern Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay and northeastern Argentina. It is also known as Eyries cactus, Easter lily cactus or sea urchin cactus. The plant is spherical to short cylindrical, growing up to 75 centimeters tall and 15 centimeters across, with spines that vary from very short to strong central spines up to 3 to 3.5 centimeters long accompanied by up to 20 thinner radial spines. It produces fragrant white, lavender or pale red flowers up to 25 centimeters long and 10 centimeters across that open at night from long tubes.
