The tomato frog is a stout, brightly colored frog, family Microhylidae, found only around Madagascar's Antongil Bay. Females are larger and more vividly red orange than males, and when threatened the frog inflates its body and secretes a thick, sticky substance from its skin that can irritate a predator's mouth or eyes.
