The Mount Panie kauri is a conifer in the family Araucariaceae endemic to the higher elevations of Mont Panie in New Caledonia, known locally as dayu biik in the Nemi and Fwai languages. It is exceptionally long lived; one recently deceased specimen stood 80 meters tall and was estimated at 1,100 to 1,300 years old by radiocarbon dating. The IUCN Red List classifies it as Critically Endangered, threatened by feral pigs, Phytophthora disease, bark beetles, and climate change.
