Euphorbia amygdaloides

Euphorbia amygdaloides, the wood spurge, is a species of flowering plant in the family Euphorbiaceae, native to woodland habitats in Europe, Turkey, and the Caucasus. It is a bushy evergreen perennial reaching about 80 centimetres in height, with dark green foliage and green-yellow flower clusters typical of its genus in late spring and early summer. The species thrives in dry, shaded conditions beneath trees, which makes it popular as ground cover, though it spreads by underground rhizomes and can become invasive, although it is relatively easy to remove. It contains a toxic milky latex that can irritate skin on contact.
