Cryptophagidae

Cryptophagidae, the silken fungus beetles, is a family of small beetles found in every biogeographic realm, with around 600 described species across roughly 60 genera divided between the subfamilies Atomariinae and Cryptophaginae. Ranging from 1 to 11 millimeters long with an oval, slightly waisted body, both adults and larvae feed exclusively on fungi and are found in habitats from rotting wood to shed animal fur and feathers.
