Phloeostichidae

Phloeostichidae is a family of beetles in the superfamily Cucujoidea typically found under the bark of dead trees, with four living genera: Phloeostichus in the Palearctic, Rhopalobrachium in central-southern South America and eastern Australia, Hymaea in southeastern Australia, and Bunyastichus in Tasmania. Larvae feed on plant tissue and fungi while adults feed only on fungi, and one extinct genus, Pleuroceratos, is known from Late Cretaceous Burmese amber.
