Graphosoma lineatum is a species of shield bug in the family Pentatomidae, first described by Carl Linnaeus in 1758. It grows to a length of about 8 to 12 millimeters and has an almost round body with a large shield, colored orange yellow with wide black longitudinal stripes and six black bands across the pronotum. Its antennae are black and its legs are mostly orange, a detail that distinguishes it from closely related striped shield bugs. The species is distributed across northern Africa in Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia, with a subspecies, Graphosoma lineatum siciliensis, endemic to Sicily as the only population found in Europe.
