The Near Eastern fire salamander, Salamandra infraimmaculata, is a salamander of the family Salamandridae found in Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, and Israel. It is black with yellow spots on its back as warning coloration but none on its belly, and reaches up to 324 millimeters in length, with females generally larger than males. It lives in subtropical dry shrubland and forest, often near rivers and freshwater springs, and is listed as Near Threatened overall by the IUCN, though it is considered Endangered in Israel and Vulnerable in Syria.
