Goliath Beetle refers to any of the six species in the genus Goliathus, among the largest insects on Earth by size, bulk and weight. Members of the scarab beetle family Scarabaeidae, they are found in many of Africa's tropical forests, feeding primarily on tree sap and fruit as adults; adults measure from 6 to 11 centimeters for males and 5 to 8 centimeters for females, and females range from dark chestnut brown to silky white while males are typically brown, white or black.
