Greater Whipwort

Greater whipwort, also called threelobed bazzania, Bazzania trilobata, is a species of liverwort in the family Lepidoziaceae native to cool, temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. It forms sprawling, leathery mats of branching, whip-like shoots on rotting logs, humus and shaded forest soil, its leaves each ending in three small, tooth-like lobes that give the species its scientific and common names.
