Major Animal Phyla is a Browse By group of the Nature Atlas that gathers the largest and best known phyla of animals, chordates, arthropods, molluscs, cnidarians, echinoderms, annelids, flatworms, roundworms and sponges. An entry belongs here when its own cited article states that it is a major animal phylum. It excludes the minor animal phyla and phyla of other kingdoms. Members are placed by the classification their cited article gives, not by common name or appearance alone.
