The taxonomic families of the plant kingdom, following the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group's APG IV classification that ITIS, GBIF and the Catalogue of Life all use for flowering plants. Covers every family-rank taxon entity in this atlas identified by its own sourced description as a plant family, among them the legumes of Fabaceae, the grasses of Poaceae, the daisies of Asteraceae, the roses of Rosaceae, the citrus family Rutaceae, the mint family Lamiaceae, the beech and oak family Fagaceae, and the conifer family Cupressaceae. Every family-rank entity in this atlas whose Name carries the botanical -aceae suffix belongs here; none of the -aceae names checked in this pass turned out to be fungal or bacterial. Excludes the fungal families, which despite the shared -aceae suffix under their own nomenclature code belong to an entirely separate kingdom and would be grouped under Fungus Families instead.
