All Legume Genera (Fabaceae)

Legume genera are the genera of the family Fabaceae, also called Leguminosae or the bean and pea family, the third largest family of angiosperms and second only to the grasses in agricultural and economic importance. Its species are harvested as crops for human and animal consumption and for oils, fiber, fuel, fertilizers, timber and medicines. GBIF is led by Astragalus with about 4,400 descendant taxa, Acacia with about 1,759, Indigofera with about 1,258, Crotalaria with about 1,166 and Mimosa with about 1,097.
