Bellis

Bellis is a genus of flowering plants, family Asteraceae, comprising 14 accepted species including subspecies variation, originating from Europe, the Mediterranean and northern Africa, with one species introduced to North America. The genus includes the familiar common daisy, Bellis perennis, along with the annual daisy, Bellis annua, and the southern daisy, Bellis sylvestris; members are mostly perennials growing 5 to 20 centimeters tall, with simple erect stems, mostly basal leaves, and radiate flower heads produced one per stem.
