Myrtales

Myrtales is an order of flowering plants in the malvid clade of the rosid eudicots, comprising nine families under the APG III classification. Its members include myrtle, pohutukawa, clove, guava, feijoa, allspice, eucalyptus, crape myrtles, henna, and pomegranate. Molecular evidence places the order origin in the mid-Cretaceous, roughly 89 to 100 million years ago depending on the method used.
