All Gecko Families

Gecko families are the families of geckos that GBIF keeps as separate families. Gekkonidae itself lists its genera led by Cyrtodactylus, Hemidactylus and Cnemaspis. Eublepharidae has six, Goniurosaurus, Coleonyx, Eublepharis, Aeluroscalabotes, Hemitheconyx and Holodactylus. Sphaerodactylidae has 13, led by Sphaerodactylus with about 218 descendant taxa. Diplodactylidae has 25, led by Bavayia, Strophurus, Diplodactylus and Oedura, and Phyllodactylidae has 10, led by Phyllodactylus and Tarentola.
