Reptile Families

Emydidae is a family of turtles, the largest turtle family in the Americas, comprising numerous genera including Trachemys, the sliders. Members are mostly semiaquatic, freshwater or terrestrial turtles found chiefly in North and South America, with a smaller number of species native to Europe.
