Covers every genus-rank taxon entity in this atlas identified by its own sourced description as belonging to one of the living reptilian orders under the standard herpetological classification ITIS and the Catalogue of Life both follow, from the true crocodiles of Crocodylus and the alligators of Alligator through the many snake genera such as Coluber, Elaphe and Boiga and the marine iguana's own genus, Amblyrhynchus. Also covers the extinct marine reptiles (the pliosaurs and plesiosaurs) and the flying reptiles (the pterosaurs) where the atlas has minted a genus for one, since both lineages are reptiles under the same standard classification even though neither survives today.
