Savanna and Grassland

Named tropical savanna and temperate grassland ecosystems, from the Serengeti's wildebeest migration to the short grass prairie of the Great Plains and the open steppe of Mongolia and Patagonia. United by an open, largely treeless or lightly wooded plant community rather than a specific climate zone; excludes wetter flooded grasslands, which sit with Wetland and Freshwater.
