Blow lugworm

Segmented Worms

The blow lugworm, also known as the sandworm, is a large species of marine worm. Its coiled castings are a familiar sight on beaches at low tide, though the worm itself is rarely seen except by those who dig it out of the sand, whether from curiosity or to use it as fishing bait.
