Tianyuraptor

Tianyuraptor is a genus of short-armed dromaeosaurid dinosaur that lived during the Early Cretaceous, around 122 million years ago, in what is now western Liaoning, China. Known from a single, nearly complete skeleton found in the Dawangzhangzi Bed of the Yixian Formation and formally named in 2009, it represents a transitional form between northern and southern hemisphere dromaeosaur lineages. It is distinguished by unusually short forelimbs, only about 53 percent the length of its hindlimbs, along with a long tail and elongated lower hindlimbs typical of microraptorine dromaeosaurids, and the single known species is Tianyuraptor ostromi.
