Slender Seahorse

The slender seahorse, also called the longsnout seahorse, Hippocampus reidi, is a species of fish in the pipefish family, Syngnathidae, found in subtropical and tropical waters of the western Atlantic and Caribbean, including the Bahamas, Belize, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Jamaica, Panama, and the United States coasts of Florida and North Carolina. The species is listed as Near Threatened by the IUCN as of 2021 and is included in CITES Appendix II, which regulates international trade in the species.
