Black Spleenwort

Black spleenwort, Asplenium adiantum-nigrum, is a species of fern in the spleenwort family, Aspleniaceae, widely distributed across Africa, Europe and temperate Asia, with smaller, more scattered populations in Mexico and the United States. It typically grows from crevices in rock walls and stony banks, its dark, glossy, triangular fronds giving the species its common name.
