Monarchidae

Monarchidae, the monarch flycatchers, is a family of more than 100 passerine bird species in fifteen genera that includes shrikebills, paradise flycatchers and magpie-larks. They are small insectivorous songbirds with long tails and broad bills, some notably large or heavy for specialized feeding, distributed across the Old World tropics from Madagascar and the Indian Ocean islands through sub-Saharan Africa and south-east Asia to Australasia and numerous Pacific islands. Most monarch flycatchers are non-migratory residents, with only a few species migrating, and many decorate their cup-shaped nests with lichen.
