Rhipiduridae

Rhipiduridae is a family of small insectivorous passerine birds of Australasia, Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent that includes the fantails and silktails, comprising 64 species across four genera. The genus Rhipidura holds 60 species of typical fantails, while Chaetorhynchus contains the drongo fantail, Eutrichomyias the cerulean flycatcher, and Lamprolia two species of silktail. Members of the family are small birds that feed on insects, and their common names, fantails and silktails, reflect their distinctive tail displays and plumage.
