The Old World babblers, placed in the family Timaliidae, are a family of mostly Old World passerine birds. They are diverse in size and coloration but share soft, fluffy plumage. The family comprises 10 genera and 58 species, concentrated in tropical Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent. They are one of two unrelated bird groups called babblers, the other being the Australasian babblers.
