Vireonidae

The vireos, family Vireonidae, are small to medium-sized passerine birds of the New World, from Canada to Argentina including Bermuda and the West Indies, with some species also in Southeast Asia. The family contains 62 species in eight genera: Pteruthius, Erpornis, Cyclarhis, Vireolanius, Hylophilus, Tunchiornis, Pachysylvia and Vireo. Most are dull, greenish-plumaged birds, ranging from about 10 centimeters and 8 grams in the smallest species to 17 centimeters and 40 grams in the larger peppershrikes.
