Steller's sea eagle, also called the Pacific sea eagle or white-shouldered eagle, is a very large diurnal bird of prey in the family Accipitridae, first described by Peter Simon Pallas in 1811 with no recognized subspecies. It has dark brown plumage with white wings and tail, a yellow beak and yellow talons, and at five to ten kilograms is typically the heaviest eagle species in the world, with females larger than males as in other raptors.
