Sedge warbler

The sedge warbler is an Old World warbler in the genus Acrocephalus, a medium sized bird with a brown, streaked back and wings and a distinct pale stripe over the eye. It breeds across Europe and Asia and migrates across the Sahara to winter in Africa. The male sedge warbler sings a rambling mix of chattering phrases that can include mimicry of other species, and the bird feeds mostly on insects.
