Iguazu National Park, on the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls, covers 677 square kilometers of subtropical jungle within the Alto Parana Atlantic forest ecoregion. The Brazilian park across the border uses the Portuguese spelling Iguacu. The name comes from the Guarani for large water.
