Scale sorts natural phenomena by how large a stretch of the world, or the sky, they actually cover. Wikipedia notes auroras form "within bands around both polar regions" and that "other planets in the Solar System, brown dwarfs, comets, and some natural satellites also host auroras," a phenomenon that scales from one planet's poles to bodies across the Solar System. This dimension groups phenomena of a similar physical scale.
