Nepenthes rajah is a carnivorous pitcher plant species in the family Nepenthaceae, endemic to Mount Kinabalu and neighboring Mount Tambuyukon in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. It grows exclusively on serpentine substrates, particularly in areas of seeping ground water with loose, permanently moist soil, at altitudes of 1,500 to 2,650 metres above sea level, making it a highland or sub-alpine plant. Because of its localized distribution it is classified as an endangered species by the IUCN and listed on CITES Appendix I.
