Sacramento pikeminnow

The Sacramento pikeminnow, formerly known as the Sacramento squawfish, is a large freshwater ray-finned fish in the family Leuciscidae, which includes the daces, chubs, and Eurasian minnows. It is endemic to California, native to the Sacramento-San Joaquin, Pajaro-Salinas, Russian River, Clear Lake, and upper Pit River drainages. A predatory fish, it can reach up to 1.4 meters in total length.
