Stenopus hispidus is a shrimp-like decapod crustacean belonging to the infraorder Stenopodidea, distinct from the true shrimp of the infraorder Caridea. It is known by several common names, including coral banded shrimp, banded boxer shrimp and banded cleaner shrimp.
