European Yew

European Yew, also called common yew or English yew, is a coniferous tree in the family Taxaceae native to a broad range spanning much of Europe and parts of West Asia, the Caucasus and Northwest Africa, where it grows as a woodland tree. Nearly every part of the tree is highly toxic, with poisonous compounds present in all its tissues except the fleshy red aril, and these toxins can cause harm through inhalation, ingestion, or absorption through the skin.
