Amorphophallus Paeoniifolius

The elephant foot yam, also called whitespot giant arum, is a tropical plant in the family Araceae native to island Southeast Asia. It is a large tuberous herb growing up to two meters tall, with tubers that can reach 30 centimeters across and weigh as much as 15 kilograms. It is cultivated for its edible tubers across Southeast Asia, South Asia, Madagascar, New Guinea and the Pacific islands, serving as a staple root vegetable and a cash crop in many of those regions.
