Ipomoea violacea

Ipomoea violacea is a perennial species of morning glory, family Convolvulaceae, found throughout the world's tropics with the exception of Europe. Commonly called beach moonflower or sea moonflower for its white flowers that open at night, it belongs to subgenus Eriospermum, section Erpipomoea, and unlike the related species Ipomoea tricolor it does not contain ergoline alkaloids.
