Cistugidae is a family of bats in the superfamily Vespertilionoidea containing a single genus, Cistugo, with two recognized species: Cistugo lesueuri, found in Lesotho and southern South Africa, and Cistugo seabrai, found from southwestern Angola through Namibia into northwestern South Africa. Both species were historically classified within the genus Myotis in the family Vespertilionidae until molecular studies showed them distinctive enough to warrant their own family.
