Miniopteridae, the bent-winged bats or long-fingered bats, is a family of insectivorous bats found across Africa, Europe, Asia and Australia. They are named for an unusually long second finger bone that folds the wingtip back over the rest of the wing at rest. Bent-winged bats typically roost in large colonies in caves and undertake extensive seasonal movements between roosting and maternity sites.
