Arctocebus

Arctocebus, the angwantibos, also called golden pottos, is a genus of strepsirrhine primates in the family Lorisidae comprising two species found in tropical Africa across Nigeria, Cameroon and areas north of the Democratic Republic of Congo. They are small, measuring 22 to 30 centimeters in body length with minimal tail and weighing up to 0.5 kilograms, with yellow-brown to golden fur and a more pointed snout than other lorisids, giving a bear-like facial appearance. Angwantibos are solitary, nocturnal and arboreal, preferring the underbrush and lower forest layers, and feed predominantly on insects, especially caterpillars, with occasional fruit.
