Myzopodidae, the sucker-footed bats, is a small family of bats found only on the island of Madagascar. Its members have adhesive, suction-cup-like pads on the thumbs and hind feet that allow them to cling to smooth plant surfaces such as the leaves of traveler's palms, which they use as roosts. The family contains very few recognized species, restricted to Madagascar's forests.
