Ochotonidae is a family of small mammals in the order Lagomorpha, alongside the rabbits and hares, commonly known as pikas or ochotonids. The family was established in 1897 and today survives as a single genus, Ochotona, though the fossil record includes numerous extinct genera grouped into subfamilies such as Ochotoninae and Sinolagomyinae, spanning from the Miocene to the present, roughly sixteen million years.
