The Mexican spiny pocket mouse, Heteromys irroratus, is a species of rodent in the family Heteromyidae, inhabiting dry, scrubby habitats from areas north of the Rio Grande in Texas south through the Mexican Plateau to its southern limit at Zapotitlan in Oaxaca. It was previously classified in the genus Liomys before taxonomic revision moved it to Heteromys. The species is assessed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
